***UPDATE***

ZERO stars to THREE stars:
After using this product for several days now, I would rate it 10 stars if I could for rabbit litter use ONLY. It smells like soft oatmeal, it absorbs liquid like the world's best diaper. I am not sure how this happens but it doesn't create a muddy slushy mess if there is a lot of urine and poo, and it traps odors only while it sits in the litter bin better than a cat litter box filled with Arm&Hammer!!! The only downside is that, although the bag says avoid rabbit consumption, the rabbits loved to chew it when it was first placed in the box. Luckily, I noticed they no longer chew it.

I used to use paper pellets from petco which was too expensive but was the best product at the time for super absorbancy. The pellets are actually heavy after being soiled and expanded.

This product is so light doesn't not weigh much even after being soiled. So easy to scoop. It is perfect for cleaning rabbit pee and poo. I will not buy another product for my rabbits' litter. This is amazing. As long as the litter pan has a very high back, it limits the amount of splashing outside of the wire cage.

************

This product is too light and tiny pieces get everywhere if you have a wire cage and active rabbits that run around and thrash stuff all over the place with their hind legs. My rabbits are also diggers as other commenters of low ratings have stated about their rabbits completely spalshing this product entirely outside of the cage from their enthusiatic digging. As other commenters have also mentioned, it also clings to the animal's fur - all in their butts bellies toes and claws. When mine stand and press their paws against the bars, the product just falls all to the floor outside of the cage, as well.

Some of the grains have a nice healthy round size. But a lot of it is crumbled or broken shards - see the picture. It also has this extremely annoying static issue which you can see immediately after opening the bag. The smaller pieces and shards cling to the bag walls. Maybe sweeping activates the static charge. So when you brush the remnants into a plastic dustpan, and stand up to throw it away, this trash starts jumping to the ground like magic dancing beans!!! Please see the pictures provided for this fun trashy mess!!

One star because they seem to have so much fun in it!! They actually like it.

It also is light and small so its so easy to scoop big rabbit poops. It seems to be absorbant for pee - does not expand but keeps the bottom of the basin dry and slightly clumps or clings together when wet so that you can actually scoop it as well. And lastly it smells great and does contain horrible ammonia odors.

I do NOT recommend this product at all, especially not for use in wire cages.

I'm sure this bedding would be nice for some people, but not me. I was very hesitant after reading the reviews, but I decided to give this a chance anyway. Immediately my lionhead rabbit started eating it!! Of course I freaked out because I didn't know if it was edible or not. I left it in for a good 8hrs and I was surprised when my bunny laid down. It was all over her fur, stuck in her butt, and all over her face. I just couldn't deal.

I would NOT recommend this for any long haired animals. Unless you have the time and patience to comb it out. I, also, was worried about it getting in her eyes. (if you can't tell this is my first bunny). I couldn't go to bed without removing the bedding and now I can sleep easy. The smell is awesome, but not worth it, in my opinion.

This is great litter, but don't order the 50 liter container. I have ordered thousands of products on Amazon for myself and my business, so I have seen some wacky packaging jobs, but this absolutely takes the cake. The litter is in a big plastic bag which isn't sealed, it's just open-topped. So not only is the litter all over the box and not in its little bag, it all over the outside of the box too, and I presume I didn't actually get 50 liters since some of it was donated to the post office.

I don't know what kind of person thinks shipping loose litter without a sealed container is a good idea. This is the most incompetent packaging job I have ever seen. Excuse me while I spend an hour re-packaging it all into ziplocs.

I honestly can't say enough good things about this product for use with our Flemish Giant. I have a very sensitive nose and absolutely hate
