I live in Georgia where we have soil that in spots is more of a red clay. I bought 1,000 tulip bulbs last year, and bought this to plant them. Put on the end of a 3/8

I received this as a gift and have used it to manually aerate weak sections of the lawn and place fertilizer below the soil. As you can see from the pictures it's been well-used - but stands up over time.

Have also used it to pre-drill holes for tree and shrub fertilizer (much easier than hammering them down with the plastic caps and hoping they won't shatter :-)

This has been a wonderful tool and the perfect size for projects like those above.

1.) the thing bent on the first use and kept bending the long I used it.
2.) For VERY soft ground only.
3.) Use a weak drill, if you hit a rock it will break your wrist.

I use it to dig holes for planting termite insecticide bars in the ground. The tool does what it is designed to do. It digs hole nicely. One problem is that the end of the shaft is round, which easily slips at high speed, especially when you try to withdraw from the hole by reversing the drill. the manufacturer could easily modify the end of the shaft to hexagonal shape just like the drill bits for cordless drill/driver.

I love this thing! I bought it to help remove weeds with deep roots and creeping vine type weeds from my yard and garden. So much better than pulling and breaking the weeds by hand only. This attached to a cordless drill and what would take me hours of pulling by hand can be completed in less than 30 mins. Amazing product. Highly recommended.

The Yard Butler 9-inch Roto Driller fits my drill-driver just fine. The drill-driver powers it through the dirt great. It is just the tool needed for planting bulbs and fertilizer sticks. The hole is perhaps 2

I have a fairly heavy clay soil and feared it would just bog down. Generally, it doesn't bog at all. Roots can obviously be a problem if it hangs in them, but it then easily reverses out. I have a fairly strong cordless drill motor, and suspect that contributes a lot to the success. It can gum with mud under some circumstances, but I probably shouldn't be planting bulbs in those circumstances, and, anyway, it's easy to just wipe the mud off.

Great item at a good price.
